Strict Cancellation:
Guests can cancel their reservation for a full refund up to 7 days before check-in time. If a guest cancels less than 7 days before check-in, they will be charged for 50% of the total reservation cost.
Super Strict Cancellation (optional, for hosts with unique needs):
Guests can cancel their reservation for a full refund up to 14 days before check-in time. If a guest cancels less than 14 days before check-in, they will be charged for the full reservation cost.
Extenuating Circumstances:
In the event of extenuating circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, illness, death in the family), guests may be eligible for a full refund regardless of the cancellation policy chosen by the host. Proof may be required.
Host Cancellation:
If a host cancels a reservation for any reason, the guest will receive a full refund, and the host may be subject to penalties, including temporary suspension or removal from the platform, depending on the frequency and circumstances of the cancellations.
Alterations to Reservations:
Guests can modify their reservations (subject to availability) free of charge up to 24 hours before check-in time. Any additional costs due to changes in reservation dates or duration will be adjusted accordingly.
Communication and Dispute Resolution:
Both hosts and guests are encouraged to communicate openly and resolve any issues or concerns regarding cancellations or alterations to reservations in a timely and respectful manner. In the event of a dispute, the platform may mediate and provide assistance as needed. This policy aims to provide flexibility for both hosts and guests while ensuring fairness and clarity in cancellation procedures.
